EDITORIAL: War is Cool
Sunday, March 23, 2003 - Portland, Oregon
I was sitting here, bored. Nobody seemed to care about globalization anymore. Ever since the WTO started fighting amongst themselves, socialism has been pretty boring.
But, thankfully, war is on the scene! Move over globalization!
I immediately went up to the attic and dusted off some of my old protest signs.
Then I got on the phone and called all my friends. We have an official organization name, but I can't remember it for sure. It was once called "Marxist-Leninist Socialist/Feminists for Anarchy" or something, but then it got longer.
We painted over our Free Trade Kills Fluffy Animals and WTO : Why Trust Order! (with a pink anarchy symbol) signs, and replaced the words with things like Make Love without Oil and George Bush Hates Camels.
Anyway, thanks George W. Bush, I'm a happy socialist once again!
